Hasse Construction Breaks Ground on Lake Ridge Fire Station

GARY, INDIANA - The Lake Ridge Fire Protection District in Calumet Township, Gary, Indiana invites  the public to attend a ceremonial ground breaking of their new fire station at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 47th Street and Roosevelt Place (4700 Roosevelt Place), Gary, Indiana.  The $1.6 million fire station will operate as the new home for the Fire Protection District and capable of housing all of the District's firefighting, search and rescue equipment and well as District and Department offices.  The new 10,700 square foot station features six 80-foot bays for the District's rolling equipment.


"I'm thrilled that the project is finally getting started," said Louise Neese, Chairperson of the Lake Ridge Fire Protection District. "I'm grateful to all of our partners in moving this project forward, including my fellow board members and especially our County Commissioner Mike Repay and County Councilpersons Elsie Franklin and Dave Hamm who have been instrumental in bringing this project to the start of construction.  I also want to thank the Design-Build team of Hasse Construction of Calumet City, Illinois and VOA Architects of Highland for their hard work as well."
