Gas Technology Institute (GTI) in DesPlaines, IL is a leading, independent not for profit research and development organization for global energy development.

Hasse Construction built a Flex-Fuel Test Facility for Thermo-Chemical Conversion of Fuels. It is a five-story structure with a restricted size in site area. The building design allowed all new equipment to be installed after the building was erected without access panels or numerous overhead doors. During construction, GTI continued performing research on a 24-hour basis, this left little or no laydown areas. Hasse Construction had no choice but to erect the building components right off the delivery truck.
